Frequently Asked Questions:

Common Questions; Direct Answers.

Q: What does it mean "Windows 10 is end of life?"

A:  Simple answer, Microsoft will no longer support Windows 10.  They will not release updates (including security updates and performance updates).  Your computer will continue to work.

Q: Can I Just Upgrade to Windows 11?

A:  Maybe.  I know that is a generic answer.  But Microsoft has guidelines as to what makes a computer compatible with Windows 11.  Many Coputers do not meet those requirements and you will have to purchase a new computer (That of course will open up more questions)

Q:  How often (if ever) should I replace my surge Protector?

A:  The average life span of a Surge Protector is around 3 years.  But that is in a perfect world.  If you live in Florida (or another state) that experiences many storms than may be sooner.  Most Surge Protectors have a light that says it's working.   Look for that light and  if it's on then it's still doing it's job.  But it's still advisable to replace before the  light stops working around 3 - 5 years.  You can check with the Manufacture for more detail on your Protector.

Q:  I use Google Chrome (or other browser) and want to remove Edge.  How do I do  that?

A:  Unfortunately, it is not possible to remove Edge from Windows computers.  It is built into the operating system.  However it can be turned off and you can set whatever other browser you like as default.  Contact us for more information.
